Drug enforcement agencies made a big Meth bust in Bellingham.
A joint investigation by the local Northwest Regional Drug Task Force and several federal agencies resulted in the arrests of two men on various federal charges related to smuggling methamphetamine.
A citizen tipped officers about the possibility of a large amount of Meth being smuggled through Bellingham last Friday.
Drug task force officials said the two men had more than five pounds of crystal Meth in their possession worth up to $200,000 when agents arrested them.
The drugs, believed to have come from Mexico, were apparently headed to the Vancouver, B.C. area.
Mandeep Gill, 32, of Bellingham and Avtar Singh Sidhu, 36, of Fresno, California, were booked into the Whatcom County Jail then transported to a federal detention facility in Seattle.
They face several federal charges.
