OCEAN CITY -- A passenger in a car whose driver was being arrested on a DUI charge allegedly attacked one of the arresting officers Wednesday.

The incident happened at 1:15 a.m. on westbound Route 50 at Golf Course Road. Corey Patrice Johnson, 31, of Snow Hill was a passenger in a car that had been pulled over, and troopers from the Berlin barrack of the Maryland State Police were arresting the driver on a DUI charge.


Johnson allegedly attempted to assault an officer by trying to hit him, and then kicked him with her high-heeled boots when he tried to arrest her for the assault.


Johnson has been charged with second-degree assault and resisting arrest. She was taken before the Worcester County court commissioner.
